Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), the largest public university in Virginia and one of the nation’s top urban research universities, is located on two campuses in the thriving city of Richmond. VCU's School of Engineering, enrolled its first class of students in 1996 and offers MS, PhD as well as ABET accredited undergraduate programs in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical & Life Science Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Mechanical & Nuclear Engineering.
The Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering is the largest department at VCU’s School of Engineering, with total undergraduate and graduate enrollments around 500 and 70 students, respectively. It also hosts one of the newest nuclear engineering programs in the nation and the only in Virginia with a full suite of both undergraduate and graduate nuclear engineering programs. |
